Tasty Taco Ring

This recipe comes from Recipes from the Heart by Pampered Chef. I modified it a bit (more hamburger meat/less decor). My family loves this recipe. It also looks impressive :)

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground beef

1 pkg. taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or colby jack)

1/4 cup water

2 pkgs. refrigerated crescent rolls

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown ground beef and pour off drippings. Stir in taco seasoning, water, and cheese – mix well and heat through. Set aside. Unroll crescent dough, separating the rolls at the perforations. Arrange the triangles in a circle with the fat parts of the triangle in the center of the circle, overlapping and the long points outside (there should be a 5″ diameter open circle in the center). Scoop the beef mixture onto the widest part of the circle. Fold over the long ends, tucking them under the opposite side of the triangle in the center. Bake 20-25 minutes or until brown. Serve with lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, cheese…
